My ideal morning routine usually starts with not touching the phone. The phone is kind of like cancer to your morning because it basically plants all these negative seeds into your brain and doesn’t set you up on the best path. You don’t need to be seeing the Elon Musk Twitter rants, the girl replying to your DMs, your stories, etc. People plant all of the negativity into your brain, not the way you want to start your morning.
The best thing you can do is go to a safe place where you can do meditation and a visualization where you can stay present. To try and combat anxiety in your head, you can try to be grateful for what you have in that moment because a state of gratitude just amplifies and attracts more of the things that you want into your life.
Usually I sit down in the shower and angle the shower head so it doesn’t get in my face and I do that for about 30 minutes. I heard that coffee should not be consumed in the first 60 to 90 minutes after waking up because it actually amplifies your heart rate which leads you to have more anxious tendencies. I don’t know if it’s true, don’t quote me. But I get my espresso going and I usually have a banana with it to make sure I don’t get overly jittery and antsy because the espresso is strong.
I think the espresso is great. It’s a quick shot that gets you going and doesn’t waste too much time. I drink my espresso and boom I’m ready to roll, I’m moving fast, I’m buzzing, my energy is high, I’m getting stuff done.
I get to the office after that, I have my hair combed, dressed nicely, looking sharp, feeling good and looking good. Then I start making the plan for my day.
A lot of people set one-year goals for 2023. I truly think that’s a mistake. I think the best thing to do is set three month goals because there you can actually execute and always be in tune with your goal versus like 12 months away. Because then it’ll be July and I’m getting a little lazy, I’m going on vacation, and I forgot about the goal. So for me, setting a shorter time goal like a 12 week or a three month goal allows you to be more accountable and in tune with your goal.
With that being said, reviewing your plan in the morning and looking over your plan of action with actual tasks laid out before you start your day is the way to go. Another thing I like to do is block my day. Blocking your day into three segments such as the beginning like basically seven or eight a.m till noon is your day one so you try to accomplish everything you would do in a normal day in that first four to five hours. Then you take your lunch from 12 to 12 30 and boom 12:30 to 4 or 5 p.m that’s day two that’s your second block and you execute as if that’s another day like a brand new day. Day three is five PM till midnight so that’s your third day- what are you doing during those times? Everybody goes about their day and grinds and then when they hit that time of the day they just mess around, watch Netflix, and do a bunch of nothing, but meanwhile the real savages are putting in work and they’ve accomplished three different days in one day while you went home and watched Netflix. There’s always someone that’s out there putting in the work when you’re not and that’s the real savage and who is really gonna come out on top.
Hope this gives you all a little motivation to start your day better and helps you to achieve your personal and business goals. So that’s all I got, we’ll see you at the top, see you soon. Peace!
